Some people are born with place carved out for them in this world, at least that's what some believe, Philip Post being one of them. For those of you who don't know, Phil is the man and creative mind behind Dertbag Designs. Dertbag never disappoints, releasing hand dyed tees that note *no shirt is the same as the other*, and even collaborating with brands such as D'emploi Brooklyn to craft hand made backpacks and other goods. There is something about the product itself, receiving the package with a hand written postal address paired with some doodles from Phil himself. The fabric is top quality and the work put into each individual article of clothing can actually be noted. These aren't mass produced tee shirts, these are a glimpse into Philip's creative mind.
Over social media I found that Phil was having an in-store event on June 7th and 8th, as he has his own "brick and mortar" shop in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was going to be doing a hand screening demonstration, and releasing his summer line. When I saw this I shot him an email, exchanged a few words, and made it a plan to head to Connecticut. Stay tuned for more and be sure to support this young artist.
"I'm just very passionate about making clothes and trying to not do what everyone else is doing. I'm just living my life and trying to find the balance for everything." - Philip Post
