It's been just over a week now since Beautiful, Wonderful EP was released by Yung Gud, the musical architect behind some of Yung Lean's massive tracks such as Kyoto and Yoshi City. This EP most likely depicts what one would think of "Sad Boy music", whether its because of a track named "Forever 2001", an inverted Mitsubishi logo, or the plain fact that each track becomes one seamless story enshrouded by pure ambience. Do not sleep on this project, as it only further defines Gud's sound and truly exploits his influence on the Sad Boy crew altogether. The project really brings fourth Yung Gud's portrayal of music as more than just an object. With this project he show that music is an entire realm to be explored, maybe you just needed a little bit of his help. Stream below and enjoy.
Volt
Yung Lean brings us new visuals for his track "Volt" off of Unknown Memory. A dark, eerie forest. Lightning. Fog. Mirror images. Even a creepy woman in a Yung Lean mask. Sad Boys Entertainment definitely delivers and maintains the quality of cinematography seen in "Yoshi City" from earlier this year. As the video may seem to be a fairly minimalistic concept, it fuses very well with the surreal music production from Yung Gud and White Armor. Yung Lean dons a pink Ed Hardy hat and an AXO motocross jersey, straying away from the usual "all white everything" and classic Polo gear. Sad Boys don't seem to be stopping anytime soon, as Yung Lean is already coming back to North America for the Unknown Memory Tour. The tour kicks off on December 1st so be sure to buy tickets here.
Blue
Los Angeles duo Uzi has debuted their new music video for their song "Blue" after taking things to twitter. After quickly accumulating over the 500 needed retweets the duo brings us this track featuring a loop from the renown Eiffel 65 track "Blue (Da Ba Dee)". Visuals stray from the usual VHS footage, and this time bring us pure Hollywood sleaze. Quickly becoming icons in both the fashion (remember these?) and music scene, this duo is definitely on the rise and shining light on the "weird kids". Uzi is currently on tour with Wiz Khalifa so definitely be sure to check them out if you have a chance, dates can be found here. While you're at it, check out their other videos featuring VHS footage of Paris Hilton, Whoopi Goldberg, and more. Because who doesn't want to see that.
